Sylvie Provost

Sylvie held a master's degree in molecular biology from Université de Montréal (1991) and worked for over 30 years in genetic research. Before joining our team, she worked in Dr. Pierre Chartrand's laboratory (Croix-Rouge) and with Dr. Lambert Busque's research group (Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont).

She was the very first member of our research team, joining in 2005. She led genetic linkage and association analyses, managed our clinical and genetic databases, and played a key role in the development of our projects. Through her rigor and integrity, she had a lasting impact on how we work.

Sylvie passed away on June 1, 2025.
